ACCREDITED PROPERTY QUALIFICATIONS
Recognition of Prior Learning programme
For experienced estate agents who currently hold a Fidelity Certificate and completed their internship after 16 July 2008, we recommend this RPL Programme.
These agents are required to keep a logbook and to create a Portfolio of Evidence (PoE).
These interns must finalise their PoE by 30 July 2015, or they will be deregistered as agents.
The Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programme ensures that intern agents receive recognition for experience without having to start a programme from scratch.
To receive this recognition, the agent must provide evidence of experience in the field to be evaluated and compared against the required requirements.
The XT Training Academy has developed a programme that evaluates your skills and knowledge to ensure you meet all the requirements to qualify.
The programme lasts three to four months and concludes upon completion of the Professional Designation Exam.
This qualifies you for a full-status agent title.
The cost of the Recognition of Prior Learning programme is R4 500 and includes all required materials and resources.
National Qualification Framework (NQF) 4 programme
This National Qualification Framework (NQF) 4 programme is for any individual who wants to participate in the property and real estate industry and who started their internship after 16 July 2008.
New entrants are accepted and assisted in finalising their logbook while training for the qualification.
This programme supports and educates students as they obtain the qualifications required to become estate agents in South Africa.
This is a compulsory 12-month programme and is an essential element of becoming an estate agent.
It includes a fundamental internship designed to equip the agent with the crucial workplace skills needed to operate successfully in the industry.
This qualification is a prerequisite for admission to the Professional Designation Examination (PDE) for estate agents, which is conducted by the Property Practitioners Regulatory Authority (PPRA).
The cost of the NQF 4 programme is R10 500 and includes all required materials and resources.
Professional Designation Examination (PDE) programme
All estate agents are required to write the Professional Designation Examination (PDE) as proof of understanding the profession and possessing the skills and knowledge to work in real estate. This exam takes place once the agent has completed their logbook and completed the necessary programmes. XT Training Academy guides you in preparing for this exam, which is the final step to becoming a qualified estate agent.
The PDE costs R1 200 and includes all required materials and resources.
